Jacaranda Park needs a skate park - Graciela's neighborhood project

We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a skate park - we need $800 for materials.

For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a skate park. This year a group of 8 volunteers, including a group of teenagers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Jacaranda Park, but no funding. We have received donated tools, and the remaining cost is $800. It will serve about 197 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in October and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly.
