For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a rainwater harvesting system. This year a group of 25 volunteers, including the neighborhood football club, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Jacaranda Park, but no funding. We have received donated tools, and the remaining cost is $1,150. It will serve about 297 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in June and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance. Where the $1,150 goes: • Materials: $980 • Permits and inspections: $50 • Safety equipment and signage: $80 • Tools hire and delivery: $40 You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it. - Víctor
