Jacaranda Park needs a playground - Vrushali's neighborhood project

For three years the neighborhood has asked for a playground. This year a group of 9 volunteers, including two retired carpenters, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Jacaranda Park, but no funding. We have received donated paint, and the remaining cost is $600. It will serve about 383 people, including local farmers and market traders. We'll hold a build day in August and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance. Where the $600 goes: • Materials: $400 • Permits and inspections: $50 • Safety equipment and signage: $65 • Tools hire and delivery: $85 Thank you for reading my story.
