Isha's non-Hodgkin lymphoma treatment fund
Isha is facing non-Hodgkin lymphoma and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.
🇮🇳 Mumbai, Maharashtra, India931 views
Isha was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin lymphoma in July. The oncology team at the Mumbai Oncology Institute has planned 8 rounds of treatment, starting in October. She will be away from work for about 12 weeks.
Isha is 33, worked as a bakery worker until July, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to the Mumbai Oncology Institute 5 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.
Where the $2,050 goes:
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $1,350
• Scans and lab work: $190
• Transport to the Mumbai Oncology Institute: $160
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $120
• Household costs while unable to work: $230
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.
