Isaac's final semester of a teaching qualification in Los Angeles
Isaac has worked and saved for five years to study a teaching qualification; a $3,800 gap now stands between him and graduation.

Isaac is the first person in the family to go to university. He is studying a teaching qualification at Los Angeles State College, and is one semester away from graduating. He has worked as a shop assistant to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $3,800.
The registrar has said Isaac can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Isaac has a 3.6 average, and a professor has written in support.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Isaac would lose his place and scholarship eligibility.
Isaac isn't asking for a handout - He wants to finish what He started and help the next student.
Everything raised goes to the university's accounts office toward the outstanding balance and the final term's fees.

• Exam and lab fees: $105
