After a hip fracture that never healed properly, Irfan was cleared for a craniotomy, but the bill is more than we can manage.

Irfan was diagnosed with a hip fracture that never healed properly in May. The surgeon at Magelang University Hospital recommended a craniotomy, and He is scheduled for July. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $300, and after what our health plan will pay we're still $150 short.
my father has been in and out of Magelang University Hospital since May. The doctors say a hip fracture that never healed properly will get worse without a craniotomy. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $300 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Irfan struggles with daily life and can't look after the children alone. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
The recovery period is expected to take about 8 weeks. During that time Irfan won't be able to look after the children alone, so the costs keep growing.
I'll pay the hospital and pharmacy directly and post every receipt in the updates section.
Where the $150 goes:
• Physiotherapy sessions: $100
• Travel and lodging for the family: $30
• Post-operative medication: $20
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.
