Iqra received an eviction notice - help us catch up on rent
A final eviction notice arrived last week. Iqra needs $450 to clear the arrears and stay housed in Karachi.

When my hours were cut in half in June, I fell 3 months behind on rent. Last Wednesday a final eviction notice was taped to my door, and the amount I owe is $450.
My landlord has been understanding for a while, but he has now been clear: if the arrears aren't cleared by October, we must leave.
I've 4 children at home. Moving isn't just an expense - it would mean new schools, a new commute and no deposit to put down anywhere else.
I have started working two part-time jobs, and I'm applying for help from local services, but nothing will arrive in time without the rest of the gap covered here.
The money will be paid directly to the landlord and I'll upload the receipt once it's done.
Where the $450 goes:
• Rent arrears (3 months): $330
• Late fees and court costs: $25
• Utilities in arrears: $25
• First month of rent as a buffer: $70

Updates from Iqra
Thank you all. We're at 49% now ($219). I'm honestly stunned. the plan for late fees and court costs is now scheduled.
Quick update: $119 raised so far (26%). the first invoice got paid this week. Receipts coming as soon as I have them.
Good news. Because of your gifts ($99 in total) I met with the landlord and confirmed the amounts. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely.
