Independence for Zara: cochlear implant processor upgrade
Zara needs a cochlear implant processor upgrade that the health system won't fund; the cost is $50.
🇵🇰 Faisalabad, Punjab, Pakistan343 views
Zara lives with multiple sclerosis. The occupational therapist at the Faisalabad Mobility Clinic has assessed her and recommended a cochlear implant processor upgrade. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $50.
Her current equipment is 15 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined her to home for 5 weeks.
With the right equipment Zara could go outside without waiting for someone to push. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered.
Where the $50 goes:
• Fitting and training sessions: $20
• Delivery and set-up: $15
• First-year servicing plan: $15
I hope life is good to you.
