Independence for Zain: cochlear implant processor upgrade
Zain needs a cochlear implant processor upgrade that the health system won't fund; the cost is $900.
🇵🇰 Multan, Punjab, Pakistan1,306 views
I live with multiple sclerosis. My occupational therapist at the Multan Rehabilitation Centre has assessed me and recommended a cochlear implant processor upgrade. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $900.
My current equipment is 9 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined me to home for 10 weeks.
With the right equipment I could go to school independently. It would change my everyday life and my ability to work from home.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered.
Where the $900 goes:
• cochlear implant processor upgrade: $830
• Fitting and training sessions: $35
• Delivery and set-up: $10
• First-year servicing plan: $25
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

Praying for you, Zain. Hope you get there. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. Love from Coventry.
