Independence for Yuto: prosthetic leg
Yuto needs a prosthetic leg that the health system won't fund; the cost is $3,500.

I live with low vision from retinitis pigmentosa. My occupational therapist at Osaka General Hospital has assessed me and recommended a prosthetic leg. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $3,500.
My current equipment is 8 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined me to home for 6 weeks.
With the right equipment I could go to school independently. It would change my everyday life and my ability to work from home.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered.
Where the $3,500 goes:
• First-year servicing plan: $200
• Delivery and set-up: $100
• prosthetic leg: $3,200
Glad we found this place.
