Independence for Yasemin: braille note-taker
Yasemin needs a braille note-taker that the health system won't fund; the cost is $1,450.

Yasemin lives with multiple sclerosis. The occupational therapist at the Gaziantep Mobility Clinic has assessed her and recommended a braille note-taker. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $1,450.
Her current equipment is 10 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined her to home for 8 weeks.
With the right equipment Yasemin could go outside without waiting for someone to push. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered.
Where the $1,450 goes:
• braille note-taker: $1,300
• Fitting and training sessions: $40
• Delivery and set-up: $50
• First-year servicing plan: $60
Glad we found this place.
