Nashville
I live with a spinal cord injury. My occupational therapist at the Nashville Mobility Clinic has assessed me and recommended a stair-climbing aid. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $550. My current equipment is 13 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined me to home for 5 weeks. With the right equipment I could join the school sports day. It would change my everyday life and my ability to work from home. We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest. I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered. Where the $550 goes: • Delivery and set-up: $90 • Fitting and training sessions: $130 • First-year servicing plan: $330 Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure.
