Viviane needs a prosthetic leg that the health system won't fund; the cost is $2,500.

I live with muscular dystrophy. My occupational therapist at the Vitória da Conquista Rehabilitation Centre has assessed me and recommended a prosthetic leg. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $2,500.
My current equipment is 15 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined me to home for 3 weeks.
With the right equipment I could attend work interviews. It would change my everyday life and my ability to work from home.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered.
Where the $2,500 goes:
• prosthetic leg: $2,250
• Fitting and training sessions: $100
• Delivery and set-up: $50
• First-year servicing plan: $100
