Vidya lives with low vision from retinitis pigmentosa. The occupational therapist at the Lucknow Mobility Clinic has assessed her and recommended a cochlear implant processor upgrade. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $950. Her current equipment is 11 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined her to home for 10 weeks. With the right equipment Vidya could join the school sports day. It would change everyday life for the whole family. We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
