I live with an amputation below the knee. My occupational therapist at the Kingston Mobility Clinic has assessed me and recommended a powered wheelchair. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $2,300.
My current equipment is 8 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined me to home for 3 weeks.
With the right equipment I could go to school independently. It would change my everyday life and my ability to work from home.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered.

• Fitting and training sessions: $70
• Delivery and set-up: $65
• First-year servicing plan: $115

Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. We're a small family in Fresno but we're thinking of you.
Thinking of you and your family. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. I went through something like this 9 years ago and strangers helped me out
