Independence for Taiga: specialist standing frame
Taiga needs a specialist standing frame that the health system will not fund; the cost is $500.

Taiga lives with an amputation below the knee. The occupational therapist at the Tokyo Rehabilitation Centre has assessed him and recommended a specialist standing frame. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $500.
His current equipment is 9 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined him to home for 7 weeks.
With the right equipment Taiga could join the school sports day. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered.
Where the $500 goes:
• Delivery and set-up: $80
• First-year servicing plan: $280
• Fitting and training sessions: $140
