Independence for Tabitha: prosthetic leg

A prosthetic leg would give Tabitha independence - we're $350 away.

I live with an amputation below the knee. My occupational therapist at the Kampala Mobility Clinic has assessed me and recommended a prosthetic leg. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $350. My current equipment is 11 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined me to home for 3 weeks. With the right equipment I could go to school independently. It would change my everyday life and my ability to work from home. We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest. Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing. Where the $350 goes: • prosthetic leg: $300 • Delivery and set-up: $15 • Fitting and training sessions: $35 I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.
