Independence for Sumaiya: specialist standing frame
Sumaiya needs a specialist standing frame that the health system won't fund; the cost is $1,000.

Sumaiya lives with multiple sclerosis. The occupational therapist at the Dhaka Rehabilitation Centre has assessed her and recommended a specialist standing frame. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $1,000.
Her current equipment is 15 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined her to home for 8 weeks.
With the right equipment Sumaiya could speak with the people around her. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.
Where the $1,000 goes:
• specialist standing frame: $870
• Fitting and training sessions: $55
• Delivery and set-up: $10
• First-year servicing plan: $65
Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure.
