Independence for Sophie: pair of hearing aids

Sophie lives with muscular dystrophy. The occupational therapist at Nuremberg General Hospital has assessed her and recommended a pair of hearing aids. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $450. Her current equipment is 10 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined her to home for 12 weeks. With the right equipment Sophie could speak with the people around her. It would change everyday life for the whole family. We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest. I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered.
