Independence for Shuai: prosthetic leg
Help Shuai get a prosthetic leg so He can join the school sports day.
🇦🇺 Victoria, Australia1,078 views
Shuai lives with a rare neuromuscular condition. The occupational therapist at the Ballarat Mobility Clinic has assessed him and recommended a prosthetic leg. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $2,700.
His current equipment is 10 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined him to home for 5 weeks.
With the right equipment Shuai could join the school sports day. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered.
Where the $2,700 goes:
• prosthetic leg: $2,200
• Fitting and training sessions: $260
• Delivery and set-up: $90
• First-year servicing plan: $150
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.
