Independence for Shahana: prosthetic leg
Shahana needs a prosthetic leg that the health system will not fund; the cost is $600.

I live with cerebral palsy. My occupational therapist at Bogra General Hospital has assessed me and recommended a prosthetic leg. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $600.
My current equipment is 8 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined me to home for 8 weeks.
With the right equipment I could go to school independently. It would change my everyday life and my ability to work from home.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered.
Where the $600 goes:
• First-year servicing plan: $35
• Fitting and training sessions: $35
• prosthetic leg: $530
Thanks for being kind about this.
