Serenity lives with muscular dystrophy. The occupational therapist at Edinburgh General Hospital has assessed her and recommended a communication tablet with eye tracking. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $700. Her current equipment is 11 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined her to home for 10 weeks. With the right equipment Serenity could get to the shops and visit friends. It would change everyday life for the whole family. We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest. Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing. Where the $700 goes: • First-year servicing plan: $300 • Delivery and set-up: $130 • Fitting and training sessions: $270 If you're reading this, thank you.
