Independence for Savannah: adapted tricycle
Savannah needs an adapted tricycle that the health system won't fund; the cost is $8,000.

I live with a rare neuromuscular condition. My occupational therapist at the Miami Rehabilitation Centre has assessed me and recommended an adapted tricycle. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $8,000.
My current equipment is 11 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined me to home for 8 weeks.
With the right equipment I could attend work interviews. It would change my everyday life and my ability to work from home.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered.
Where the $8,000 goes:
• adapted tricycle: $7,250
• Fitting and training sessions: $260
• Delivery and set-up: $120
• First-year servicing plan: $370
Every share and every dollar helps.

Stay strong, Savannah. Get well soon. Blessings.
Hang in there, Savannah. Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. My father had a similar thing happen so this one hit home.
Gave what I could, wish it was more. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. Greetings from Mandaue
I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. Wish I lived closer to Kasarani so I could bring a meal.
Hope the doctors have good news. We're a small family in San Antonio but we're thinking of you. Blessings.
Rooting for you, Savannah. Hope this works out for you. My husband and I read this together. Thinking of Miami.
