Satish lives with low vision from retinitis pigmentosa. The occupational therapist at Laredo General Hospital has assessed him and recommended a communication tablet with eye tracking. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $800. His current equipment is 8 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined him to home for 8 weeks. With the right equipment Satish could go to school independently. It would change everyday life for the whole family. We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest. Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing. Where the $800 goes: • First-year servicing plan: $280 • Fitting and training sessions: $420 • Delivery and set-up: $100 I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.
