Independence for Samir: prosthetic leg
A prosthetic leg would give Samir independence - we're $1,600 away.
🇪🇬 Egypt602 views
Samir lives with cerebral palsy. The occupational therapist at the Cairo Rehabilitation Centre has assessed him and recommended a prosthetic leg. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $1,600.
His current equipment is 10 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined him to home for 5 weeks.
With the right equipment Samir could join the school sports day. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered.
Where the $1,600 goes:
• Delivery and set-up: $15
• First-year servicing plan: $60
• prosthetic leg: $1,525
I hope life is good to you.
- Hussein
