I live with low vision from retinitis pigmentosa. My occupational therapist at the Rome Mobility Clinic has assessed me and recommended a specialist standing frame. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $2,550.
My current equipment is 14 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined me to home for 4 weeks.
With the right equipment I could join the school sports day. It would change my everyday life and my ability to work from home.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.
Where the $2,550 goes:
• Fitting and training sessions: $250
• Delivery and set-up: $165
• specialist standing frame: $2,135

Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Salvatore
