I live with an amputation below the knee. My occupational therapist at Medina General Hospital has assessed me and recommended a pair of hearing aids. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $2,300. My current equipment is 10 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined me to home for 5 weeks. With the right equipment I could go to school independently. It would change my everyday life and my ability to work from home. We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest. I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered. Where the $2,300 goes: • pair of hearing aids: $2,000 • Fitting and training sessions: $100 • Delivery and set-up: $70 • First-year servicing plan: $130 Every share and every dollar helps.
