Independence for Rutuja: powered wheelchair
A powered wheelchair would give Rutuja independence - we're $750 away.

Rutuja lives with low vision from retinitis pigmentosa. The occupational therapist at Mumbai General Hospital has assessed her and recommended a powered wheelchair. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $750.
Her current equipment is 15 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined her to home for 4 weeks.
With the right equipment Rutuja could attend work interviews. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.
Where the $750 goes:
• Fitting and training sessions: $60
• powered wheelchair: $620
• First-year servicing plan: $70
Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.
