I live with multiple sclerosis. My occupational therapist at the Mumbai Rehabilitation Centre has assessed me and recommended a powered wheelchair. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $950. My current equipment is 15 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined me to home for 3 weeks. With the right equipment I could join the school sports day. It would change my everyday life and my ability to work from home. We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest. Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing. Where the $950 goes: • First-year servicing plan: $25 • powered wheelchair: $870 • Delivery and set-up: $55 Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.
