Rohini
I live with low vision from retinitis pigmentosa. My occupational therapist at the Rohini Rehabilitation Centre has assessed me and recommended a braille note-taker. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $455. My current equipment is 12 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined me to home for 7 weeks. With the right equipment I could go to school independently. It would change my everyday life and my ability to work from home. We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest. Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing. Where the $455 goes: • braille note-taker: $420 • First-year servicing plan: $30 • Delivery and set-up: $5 I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

Updates from Ravi

  1. Thank you all. We're at 39% now ($179). I'm honestly stunned. the first invoice got paid this week.

  2. Thank you all. We're at 31% now ($139). I'm honestly stunned. the plan for delivery and set-up is now scheduled.

  3. We're at 20% thanks to 3 of you. I met with the supplier and confirmed the amounts. More news soon.
