Independence for Randall: braille note-taker
Help Randall get a braille note-taker so He can go outside without waiting for someone to push.
🇬🇧 United Kingdom952 views
I live with a spinal cord injury. My occupational therapist at the London Rehabilitation Centre has assessed me and recommended a braille note-taker. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $850.
My current equipment is 13 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined me to home for 5 weeks.
With the right equipment I could go outside without waiting for someone to push. It would change my everyday life and my ability to work from home.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.
Where the $850 goes:
• First-year servicing plan: $360
• Fitting and training sessions: $340
• Delivery and set-up: $150
