Independence for Qasim: stair-climbing aid
Help Qasim get a stair-climbing aid so He can attend work interviews.
Anywhere in the world802 views
Qasim lives with low vision from retinitis pigmentosa. The occupational therapist at the Heliopolis Mobility Clinic has assessed him and recommended a stair-climbing aid. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $1,150.
His current equipment is 15 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined him to home for 10 weeks.
With the right equipment Qasim could attend work interviews. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.
Where the $1,150 goes:
• stair-climbing aid: $1,100
• Delivery and set-up: $15
• Fitting and training sessions: $35
Thank you so much.
