Peace lives with multiple sclerosis. The occupational therapist at the Wudil Mobility Clinic has assessed her and recommended a stair-climbing aid. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $900.
Her current equipment is 10 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined her to home for 12 weeks.
With the right equipment Peace could go outside without waiting for someone to push. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.
Where the $900 goes:
• First-year servicing plan: $50
• stair-climbing aid: $820
• Delivery and set-up: $30
