Patrick lives with low vision from retinitis pigmentosa. The occupational therapist at Dortmund General Hospital has assessed him and recommended a pair of hearing aids. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $5,000. His current equipment is 15 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined him to home for 10 weeks. With the right equipment Patrick could go to school independently. It would change everyday life for the whole family. We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest. I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered. Where the $5,000 goes: • pair of hearing aids: $4,650 • Delivery and set-up: $145 • First-year servicing plan: $205 Thanks for being kind about this. - Lisa
