Palesa lives with profound hearing loss. The occupational therapist at the Pretoria Rehabilitation Centre has assessed her and recommended a braille note-taker. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $850.
Her current equipment is 14 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined her to home for 8 weeks.
With the right equipment Palesa could speak with the people around her. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.

Everything on the list is an amount I've been quoted or invoiced. fitting and training sessions comes first ($85) and I'll update the page as each thing gets paid. I'll keep the page updated.
