Independence for Otávio: braille note-taker

I live with a spinal cord injury. My occupational therapist at São Paulo General Hospital has assessed me and recommended a braille note-taker. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $2,850. My current equipment is 9 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined me to home for 12 weeks. With the right equipment I could attend work interviews. It would change my everyday life and my ability to work from home. We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
