Independence for Olumide: adapted tricycle
Help Olumide get an adapted tricycle so He can attend work interviews.
🇳🇬 Lagos, Lagos, Nigeria949 views
Olumide lives with a spinal cord injury. The occupational therapist at the Lagos Rehabilitation Centre has assessed him and recommended an adapted tricycle. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $900.
His current equipment is 9 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined him to home for 5 weeks.
With the right equipment Olumide could attend work interviews. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered.
Where the $900 goes:
• adapted tricycle: $810
• Fitting and training sessions: $20
• Delivery and set-up: $25
• First-year servicing plan: $45
