Oky lives with profound hearing loss. The occupational therapist at Bekasi General Hospital has assessed him and recommended a cochlear implant processor upgrade. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $450.
His current equipment is 15 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined him to home for 5 weeks.
With the right equipment Oky could speak with the people around him. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.
