I live with a spinal cord injury. My occupational therapist at the Kampala Mobility Clinic has assessed me and recommended a prosthetic leg. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $350. My current equipment is 14 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined me to home for 4 weeks. With the right equipment I could speak with the people around him. It would change my everyday life and my ability to work from home. We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest. Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing. Where the $350 goes: • Fitting and training sessions: $15 • First-year servicing plan: $20 • prosthetic leg: $315 Thanks for reading all this. - Okello
