Independence for Oanh: powered wheelchair
Help Oanh get a powered wheelchair so She can get to the shops and visit friends.
🇻🇳 Vietnam316 views
I live with an amputation below the knee. My occupational therapist at the Da Nang Rehabilitation Centre has assessed me and recommended a powered wheelchair. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $600.
My current equipment is 14 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined me to home for 10 weeks.
With the right equipment I could get to the shops and visit friends. It would change my everyday life and my ability to work from home.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.
Where the $600 goes:
• Delivery and set-up: $15
• First-year servicing plan: $50
• powered wheelchair: $535
Every share and every dollar helps.
