I live with a rare neuromuscular condition. My occupational therapist at Spanish Town General Hospital has assessed me and recommended a stair-climbing aid. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $2,050. My current equipment is 14 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined me to home for 3 weeks. With the right equipment I could speak with the people around him. It would change my everyday life and my ability to work from home.
