Independence for Na-young: stair-climbing aid
A stair-climbing aid would give Na-young independence - we're $4,300 away.
Anywhere in the world3,816 views
Na-young lives with a spinal cord injury. The occupational therapist at the Seoul Mobility Clinic has assessed her and recommended a stair-climbing aid. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $4,300.
Her current equipment is 12 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined her to home for 6 weeks.
With the right equipment Na-young could speak with the people around her. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.
Where the $4,300 goes:
• stair-climbing aid: $3,850
• Fitting and training sessions: $85
• Delivery and set-up: $135
• First-year servicing plan: $230
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.
