Muthoni needs a prosthetic leg that the health system won't fund; the cost is $400.

I live with a spinal cord injury. My occupational therapist at the Entebbe Rehabilitation Centre has assessed me and recommended a prosthetic leg. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $400.
My current equipment is 10 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined me to home for 12 weeks.
With the right equipment I could get to the shops and visit friends. It would change my everyday life and my ability to work from home.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.
Where the $400 goes:
• prosthetic leg: $280
• Fitting and training sessions: $45
• Delivery and set-up: $20
• First-year servicing plan: $55
