Independence for María: pair of hearing aids

A pair of hearing aids would give Marían independence - we're $2,000 away.

María lives with multiple sclerosis. The occupational therapist at Envigado General Hospital has assessed her and recommended a pair of hearing aids. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $2,000. Her current equipment is 15 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined her to home for 4 weeks. With the right equipment María could join the school sports day. It would change everyday life for the whole family. We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest. I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered. Where the $2,000 goes: • pair of hearing aids: $1,850 • Fitting and training sessions: $40 • Delivery and set-up: $50 • First-year servicing plan: $60 Glad we found this place.
