Independence for Marc: powered wheelchair
Marc needs a powered wheelchair that the health system won't fund; the cost is $2,250.

I live with multiple sclerosis. My occupational therapist at the Saint-Denis Rehabilitation Centre has assessed me and recommended a powered wheelchair. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $2,250.
My current equipment is 10 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined me to home for 6 weeks.
With the right equipment I could get to the shops and visit friends. It would change my everyday life and my ability to work from home.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.
Where the $2,250 goes:
• powered wheelchair: $1,750
• Fitting and training sessions: $185
• Delivery and set-up: $120
• First-year servicing plan: $195
Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure.
