Independence for Manikandan: cochlear implant processor upgrade
Help Manikandan get a cochlear implant processor upgrade so He can attend work interviews.
🇮🇳 India702 views
Manikandan lives with multiple sclerosis. The occupational therapist at Hyderabad General Hospital has assessed him and recommended a cochlear implant processor upgrade. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $1,450.
His current equipment is 15 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined him to home for 8 weeks.
With the right equipment Manikandan could attend work interviews. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered.
Where the $1,450 goes:
• Delivery and set-up: $15
• cochlear implant processor upgrade: $1,400
• Fitting and training sessions: $35
Thanks for being kind about this.
