Lydia needs a specialist standing frame that the health system won't fund; the cost is $2,500.

Lydia lives with profound hearing loss. The occupational therapist at the San Diego Rehabilitation Centre has assessed her and recommended a specialist standing frame. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $2,500.
Her current equipment is 14 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined her to home for 12 weeks.
With the right equipment Lydia could speak with the people around her. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.

• Delivery and set-up: $85
• Fitting and training sessions: $365
