Independence for Luna: stair-climbing aid
Luna needs a stair-climbing aid that the health system won't fund; the cost is $8,350.

Luna lives with a spinal cord injury. The occupational therapist at the Reading Rehabilitation Centre has assessed her and recommended a stair-climbing aid. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $8,350.
Her current equipment is 9 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined her to home for 10 weeks.
With the right equipment Luna could join the school sports day. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.

• Fitting and training sessions: $170
• Delivery and set-up: $155
• First-year servicing plan: $275
