Independence for Luis: communication tablet with eye tracking
Help Luis get a communication tablet with eye tracking so He can go outside without waiting for someone to push.
Anywhere in the world1,308 views
Luis lives with cerebral palsy. The occupational therapist at Augsburg General Hospital has assessed him and recommended a communication tablet with eye tracking. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $3,700.
His current equipment is 15 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined him to home for 8 weeks.
With the right equipment Luis could go outside without waiting for someone to push. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered.
Where the $3,700 goes:
• Delivery and set-up: $90
• Fitting and training sessions: $105
• communication tablet with eye tracking: $3,505
Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.
