Independence for Lucía: pair of hearing aids

Lucía lives with muscular dystrophy. The occupational therapist at the Madrid Mobility Clinic has assessed her and recommended a pair of hearing aids. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $2,600. Her current equipment is 15 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined her to home for 12 weeks. With the right equipment Lucía could go outside without waiting for someone to push. It would change everyday life for the whole family. We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest. Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.
